I am a huge fan of everything DIY. Which is one reason I am completely head over heels for this hot fashion line from Nicole Rae Styer. Her designs are turning heads all over. The follow is a letter written by Tia Koulianos, founder of Tikabou Boutique in NYC, and also host of this amazing fundraiser:
"This event was inspired by a brave little girl named Eden. Eden came into my shop one day last year with her mom Nina. My store is a women's clothing boutique, so naturally there was nothing that Eden could wear. But this polite and poised little girl struck me. She was sweet and very bright, and was very happy just walking around the store with her mom. And noticeably not asking her mom to buy her everything in sight! Since I wanted to give her something, I handed her a set of the pink crystal hangers I use in my store. I felt sad I had nothing a little more special for her. A couple of weeks later, I received a thank you card. Eden had taken the time and energy to draw a beautiful card covered in pink crystal hangers! Eight in all! I was amazed by her drawings and deeply touched. She used the hangers for her prom dress. All I could think was, with what she has been going through she was thoughtful enough to make this card for me. I felt very privileged. And look at her card to this day. Very sadly, Eden lost her battle with Neuroblastoma this year. This event is being held in her honor and for her parents, Nina and Paul. I truly hope you can come and make donations in her honor. Please forward this invitation to as many people as you can. Let's all come together and make a difference for the children who continue to fight."
