The first time I used the Utopia, I found it really easy to use. The silicone material felt nice against my skin. There is about 5 inches or so of insert-able length on this toy, and I found that it felt nice sliding into my vagina. A toy from Japan, vague directions on how to work the toy, AND it's so small. Yet it is supposed to be as powerful as the Hitachi? No way! Or so I thought...
I plugged the Fairy Mini Wand into the electrical outlet. It also comes with a battery pack, if you don't want to plug the toy in. I turned the small dial on the toy and it turned on. The tiny little massager head, which looks similar to the Hitachi's massager head, only much smaller, began to vibrate. I continued to thumb over the dial as the massager changed to each higher setting. Here is where I was shocked - this thing is insane! The vibrations are INTENSE. I held the massager head against my palm and watched in amazement as the little massager head vibrated against my palm. It was the most powerful vibration I have ever experienced. I should also mention that this toy is not waterproof, and should not be used near water. So take caution when cleaning this toy. I would suggest cleaning the head of the massager and the attachments with anti-bacterial soap and water, or your favorite toy cleanser.
After attaching the Mini Penis attachment, I decided to take it for a ride. I inserted the end of the attachment and turned the Fairy Wand on. The feeling was interesting, while the depth of penetration is very very limited. However, the nerve endings in the opening of the vagina are plentiful, so I did find the stimulation to be really enjoyable. I also like using the Mini Penis attachment on my nipples, it felt fantastic. The Clitoral Cup attachment was next. I attached the cup to the head of the wand and cupped my vulva area with the toy. The stimulation was really nice, for those who enjoy a lot of texture on their naughty bits will probably really like this. Whne you open the box and take the massager out, you can see it looks quite similar to the Hitachi Magic Wand, except it's white and red in color. You simply plug the Magic Massager into an electrical outlet, turn it on, and let it, er....turn YOU on. This massager has two speeds - High and Low. It has a switch that is easy to use, and you can even switch speeds easily while the massager is in use, which is always a plus. The size and weight of the massager is similar to the Hitachi, it's a little hefty, but come on, for an electric powered massager one cannot except featherlight weight. The head of the massager is made of soft white material that is pleasant to the touch, and the neck of the head is slightly bendy, which is the "EZ bend" neck that is mentioned in the toy features. This vibrator is powered by a motor built inside the body of the vibe. A motor? Thats right ladies...start your engines.
First off, I'd like to mention that this massager should never ever be used near water! In case that wasn't obvious. Electrical outlets and moisture are not a good match. I would also suggest using a water-based lubricant with the massager. When it comes to clean up, be careful not to get water into the seams of the vibe body or inside the neck of the vibe. If you find that electric powered vibrators are too intense for you, I suggest using the massager over your panties, or over a washcloth placed over your vulva, this was give you some nice indirect stimulation without numbing you or being too intense. This massager is almost the same price as the Hitachi, so part of me says just to pay the little extra to get your hands on that bad boy. Honestly though, I did like this massager quit a bit, and I'm glad to have it as a backup if my Hitachi were to break down (gasp!). My interview with the amazing Shaye Saldana, marketing and public relations manager of the USA based LELO office. The interview was fun and candid, and Shaye gives us insight about what is coming up on the LELO toy front. Scroll down to read the interview below...
SCARLET'S LETTER: When did the first LELO office open in the USA? Where was it located, and how many LELO offices are in the US now?
SHAYE: LELO was formally opened in the USA approximately 3 years ago. ( LELO has only been around for 5.5 years) and the landing spot for LELO USA was/is San Jose California. A city that escapes the pure hustle and bustle of San Francisco but is a technological powerhouse in its own right. LELO decided that this would be a great place to have an office. (Plus the founders brother lived in San Jose so that helped A LOT!)
SL: Can you tell me more about the new color options for the Gigi and the Liv?
SHAYE: The new color options came from public input and the desire to have something cool and refreshing as opposed to our traditional elegant and luxurious colors. We think that these colors bring on a sense of FUN, EXCITEMENT and A GOOD HEALTHY TIME. These colors were in the works for a while as we were gathering public response to various colors shades and to which products we were going to apply these extra colors.
SL: Are there any new colors going to be coming out in the future?
SHAYE: LELO is always working on something new. We might be small but we are full of ideas! All I can say is that there has been discussion as to alternative colors to the ones we have for some other the other LELO products.
SL: What seems to be the most popular LELO toy among consumers?
SHAYE: The most popular toy amongst the LELO followers right now has to be the GIGI. Our GSpot toys is one of the most sought after because of its styling, *NEW* colors and of course because its a LELO. I would say that second to that is our fancy USB chargeable MIA. She seems to be popular with the traveling women and those who want to keep a little something in their purse.
SL: Are there any more toys that are going to be added to the HOMME line?
SHAYE: Yes. LELO HOMME is going to be expanding soon. One of the new items we are going to be adding is the much anticipated BILLY. He is a prostate vibrator and has been on the agenda for some time but we are finally prepping him for release. We do have some other ones in the pipeline, but of course have to be 007 about those.
SL: What is a typical day like in the LELO office like?
SHAYE: The typical day in the office? Well some folks might things its all LELO all the time, but the fact is, we do a lot of sales and marketing out of the USA office. I am in charge of our marketing and PR for the Americas. This task keeps me working on forging relationships with some of the big named Drs out there like Dr. Ava Cadell, Dr. Laura Berman, etc. The people in this office are often on the road training distributors, retailers, helping merchandise as well as attending shows like the AVN show in Las Vegas amongst others.
SL: What is your favorite thing about working for LELO?
SHAYE: My favorite thing about working for LELO is that the name is strong and the people who like to associate themselves with LELO are definitely classy and outgoing. I enjoy hearing the stories about how our retailers put their own spin on the LELO product or testimonials from bloggers or LELO users. I also enjoy the friendships that I have created, the relationships that I have built and so much more!
SL: Are there going to be any new LELO LUXE toys released in the future?
SHAYE: We might be working on some new LELO luxe toys but again I have to keep it 007.

A few months ago, I reviewed the Feeldoe More. Which is the thickest "strapless" strapon from the Tantus Feeldoe line. While I liked the color and the style of the strapon, it was a bit large, so what better item to try next? The Feeldoe Slim, which is exactly what it sounds like: the slim version of the Original, Stout, and More strapons. This toy is made of high quality silicone and is well made, like most Tantus toys. It's a lovely candy coated blue color that is very pretty and pleasant to the eye. The "wearer" end of the toy is a sort of oblong bulb that is inserted into the vagina (or anus), hence it being "worn" internally with the need for a harness. Beneath the bulb end of the toy is an area where you can insert the optional vibrating bullet. The top of the shaft near the bulb end is ridged, so that when the bulb is inserted into the vagina, the clitoris can nuzzle against the ridges of the strapon. The shaft is lean and sleek, much thinner in girth than the Feeldoe More. The head of the shaft is prominient and slightly tapered for easy insertion. The smooth yet firm silicone feels lovely against the skin. Since this toy is completely waterproof and made of silicone, it can be boiled for sterilization. Now that we got the basics out of the way, lets see how this toy works, shall we?
I found the bulb to be quite girthy, so I do suggest a lot of lubricant before insertion. Once inserting the bulb, I noticed that the Feeldoe Slim had a little trouble staying in place, and the shaft began to droop, rather than stand out proud and perky like a real erection. With a little maneuvering and some help from my hands, I found it easier to hold the base of the shaft while in use. It's quite easy and fun to thrust with this toy, and the shaft is perfect for beginners! Whether during girl/girl play or pegging, this is probably a good size for all of you strapon newbies out there :) Using your hands can be a bummer sometimes though, so I honestly think this toy might have been better *with* a harness. That way it truly is a hands-free experience. I do like the idea and design behind the Feeldoe line and find the product to be quite sexy! This toy can also be inserted anally, where the bulb is inserted into the anus. I found this to fit a little better, though still not quite *right*. This strapon on can also be used solo! Simply insert the shaft into your vagina, and grab onto the bulb. A thrusting motion can be used to create a delicious in-and-out pumping effect. What is also kind of fun, is that you can have your partner simulate oral sex on this strapon ;) Suck it, fuck it, it's up to you! I did find that the vibrating bullet was a nice addition, and definitely suggest using it along with the strapon if vibration is your thing. This toy was soooo close to being completely cool. In theory it rocks, in design it's awesome, but I think the weight of the shaft is just too much for the bulb to hold it upright, especially while only being held in my the PC muscles. I also think the size of the bulb that is worn internally could be a little more comfortable. This toy was fun, and I think I like the Feeldoe Slim a little better than the Feeldoe More. Harness next time? That just may be the winning combo!

The texture and ridges of the body, and the nicely sculpted head of the toy feel quite nice when you slide the toy in and out of your body, however it may be overkill for some so make sure to use plenty of lubrication. The wood is very smooth to the touch, and can be used with water-based lubricants or silicone lubes. This vibe is just too fun looking. I showed it off to a few friends, who didn't believe me when I told them that there was indeed a vibrator made of wood. This vibe would pair perfectly with the Treeze Bubble Plug that I reviewed in a previous post. This is the sort of toy that you need to see to really believe it. This vibe is pretty but definitely large. It's body is thick and perfect for all of you size queens out there, and it's pulsations seem to transfer nicely through the wooden shaft. This toy requires two AA batteries, and it also comes with it's own plush glass storage bag. Take being "green" to the next level, when you get your hands on their eco friendly vibe.

Silicone can be sterilized by boiling the item, which means you can pop the Jollies dildo in a pot of boiling water, or even the dishwasher (if thats your thang) to get it nice and clean. You can also use hot water and anti-bacterial soap. Also, remember that the Jollies dildo should never be used with a silicone based lubricant, as silicone on silicone can damage the material. I adore this toy. It has become one of my favorites, it's beautiful, very well made, and it's definitely a stunner - you can see the quality just by holding the toy and giving it a good once over. It's one of those sex toys that you'll want to show off.
