Where can you find antiques, bath and body products, apparel and accessories? Lille Boutique. They sell an assortment of goodies you don't see at every day boutiques. Definitely worth a gander.

Heavenly Couture is this fabulous little new shop that I found. They sell a plethora of cute dresses, tops, and more. Everything that they sell is 85% off retail! So that means every item is $17.95 or less! Plus, they offer FREE SHIPPING on all orders over $75. The real challenge will be only spending $75!

I never realized just how fun and fashionable Portland Oregon was until just recently. They have a really fun cultural and art scene, not to mention a really hip and trendy fashion scene. I found this wonderland store called Foundation Garments Inc. It's a really nice store featuring designers like Kitchen Orange and Jude Clothing. They offer a lot of indie designer fashions, and their prices are amazing. Not in the Portland Oregon area? Me either, but not to worry...they also have an online store! So you can browse the designers and see what kind of fashionable goodies Portland really has. I am so loving these Stitch and Swish Born-Again Bags they have in stock. Vintage and so cute! Portland, I am in need of a visit.

I am so in love with this online boutique, A-List. I stumbled across it (lucky for me! - and you!) a few weeks back, and it's been a favorite ever since. They have a great selection of designer brands, such as Butterfly Dropout, Alice + Trixie, and Betsey Johnson. They also have a gorgeous selection of dresses from T-Bags, funky pieces by Scrapbook, and cutesy dresses from Matty M. Their prices are amazing, some of the lowest prices I've found in a boutique in fact. There is so much to choose from, you can literally browse here for hours.

The boutique was started by two young women, Amanda and Alicia, who were passionate about fashion, and wanted to make it readily available to gals all over the world. The company believes in making the shopper as happy as can be, rather than focusing on profits. They even offer FREE standard shipping on ALL orders! Did I mention that I LOVE this site? ;) A-List is also eco-friendly. They offer a nice selection of Go Green products, that are fashionable and earth friendly. You can even host a Shopping Party at A-List. Where you'll receive a 10% discount, chocolates and champagne for you and 15 friends. best of all, a portion of the profits from the night will go to the charity of your choice! Want more info? Check here for more information. Be sure to check out their super cute and fashionable Look Book. Go, go, go! and let them know that Scarlet's Letter sent ya! ;)

P.S. If you have Myspace, be sure to add them as a friend!

Showroom B is a fun and fashionable online boutique that I recently found. They have everything from clothing to jewelry to gifts and candles. Their prices are super affordable, and as a matter of fact, right now they are having a Sweetheart Sale just in time for Valentine's Day! They have Passport panties and jewelry from All The Rage makred down to costs you will love. They even have the "This Girl is a Genius" tee, which is pictured above, and worn by celebs like Hayden Panetierre. They also offer Free Shipping of all orders over $75! That is a super sweet deal indeed, check it out girls.

P.S. I hope all of my fellow American readers got the chance to get to the polls today and vote! This election is so so important.

Anonymous Venice is this amazing LA boutique that I stumbled upon. Not only do they sell cute girly clothing and great duds for the guys, but I've also heard that this store is a fav of a few celebs, including Titanic's Leonadro DiCaprio, who was seen shopping there just before Christmas. They also hold monthly contests giving away free loot! In January they gave away all of the items Leo bought in their boutique. Check back to see what their next contest will be! Check out their tees and dresses, everything is so cute, not to mention extremely affordable!

My newest NYC obsession - Tikabou! This cute and trendy boutique is located in Manhattan. They sell everything from designer apparel, to accessories, to items for home and baby. If you're in the NY area, do stop by their brick and mortar store, it's fabulous and the interior is lush and gorgeous. Not a New Yorker, but still wanna dress like one? No problem, you can shop online at Tikabou also. Tia Koulianos is the owner and creator of the boutique and she is so nice, she'll make sure all of your fashion needs are met, so be sure to shop by the store or check the website out. The fashion is unique and pretty and the prices are just as pleasing.

The team of Scarlett's! I found this absolutely gorgeous line of handmade jewelry, from a lovely gal pal duo called Scarlett Garnet. Call me biased, but I love their name ;) They work with gemstones, lampwork beads, sterling silver, and beautiful unique pendants. They even do custom pieces and bridal jewelry! I talked to Garnet, co-creator of SG, and she told me a bit about how the company got started. These ladies are bonafide jewelry artists, their pieces are breathtaking, if they have the same effect on you, head on over to their website and have a look!

"Katie and I have each made jewelry for well over a decade. Our independent journeys to Scarlett Garnet were very similar. We started with glass beads and base metal and made jewelry for our friends and family as gifts. We worked our way into gemstone beads and precious metals and started to sell our pieces to our friends and family. Eventually, we both began to sell our designs in local boutiques and at art shows.

We each decided that we wanted to take our passion to the next level. Mutual friends bought some website hosting space and thought it would be perfect to help us start a website. At this time, Katie lived in Charleston, SC and I lived in Kansas City, MO. We were both hesitant to work with another designer at first but our friends talked us in to it. Once Katie and I started to get to know each other, we knew we were going to make a great team. Scarlett Garnet was officially born in October 2006. Katie and I communicated via email and phone for a year before finally meeting in person in October of 2007 when Katie moved to St. Louis, MO.

After working together for over a year, Katie and I want to take our jewelry company to the next level. We both recently quit our 9 to 5 corporate jobs, substituting them for part time gigs to free up our time for jewelry design. We're adding metallurgy to our skill set and will launch a new line that we can mass produce in addition to the one-of-a-kind pieces that our clients have come to love so well. We plan to remodel the website and make our site available for wholesale purchasing from boutiques around the nation. It's an exciting time for us and we cannot wait to begin the journey to the next level."

I am obsessed with these handbags from Dutchy. Audree, creator of the Dutchy handbags brand is a really nice personable person, and her designs are simply eye-catching! Her designs have been featured in Life&Sytle and other fashion magazines. She really has a knack for creating beautifully crafted bags. She even runs her own blog! Check it out, it's a must reader for all of you handbag and accessory fiends. I love this piano clutch, which is available for purchase on the Dutchy website for only $173. I have to get my hands on that bag, it is too cute! I even got my mom hooked on Dutchy bags, she loves the Storm Collection. Dutchy is also having a sale on bags in their Jet Collection and Candy Collection. These bags are now on my must-have list!

To all of your artists and DIY'ers out there; I've had people ask me where I buy my screen printing supplies. Here is the answer: EZScreenPrint.com
They have some of the best inventory on the net when it comes to Screen Printing supplies and Inks. I've worked with them in the past and they are the only company that I purchase from;. Not only is their customer service very friendly, but they also ship very promptly, and they never overcharge! Right now they are having a Sale! 35% off of marked products! This is a great chance to give silk screening a try for the first time, or if you're a screen printing pro, now is the time to stock up on supplies. Check out their PhotoEZ starter kits and see what you can create.

I am loving this cute online boutique I stumbled upon a few days ago. It's called Goldyn. They offer lots of designer jewelry, handbags, shoes and some really cute tops and dresses. They sell brands like Charlotte Ronson, 575 Denim, and more. Vanessa, who co-owns Goldyn, told me a little about how the company got started.

"My partner Melissa and I launched our site just this past September after feeling frustrated with the lack of shopping options in Denver and the “middle” states in general... We wanted people everywhere to have access to more unique, emerging contemporary designers that are normally only found in “insider” boutiques in NYC and LA. In addition to our website, we also have a unique twist – we offer private trunk shows and events to women across the US (we currently have held them in our hometown of Denver, as well as Chicago and Atlanta). In that way we hope to offer the most convenient shopping experience possible – not only online 24/7, but also personal shopping in the comfort of your home."

I love this dress from Adamandeve that they are selling, on sale, for only $99! Regularly priced at $165. These boots from Charlotte Ronson retail for $253, but they're onsale at Goldyn for only $177.10! Get your wallets out ladies, and prepare to spend some cash! :)

Oh Heath, you were my celebrity crush when I was a teenager, your laugh made me giddy and your smile made me dizzy. This is such awful news. As a teen I had Heath Ledger's pictures all over and I would watch his movies over and over. Just within the past few years his career had become so promising. From one performer to another, one human being to another, I am really saddened to hear of his death. I'm sending out my thoughts and prayers to his daughter and the rest of his family. Rest in peace Heath.

"Nitro*A*gogo!tm kustoms by Leeza Diehl, are top quality, individually hand crafted handbags, luggage & accessories. Inspired by Leeza's love for her drag racing, fashion & surf lifestyle. These designs are glittering expressions of individuality and fashion forward poise. Available online at www.nitroagogo.com & at fine boutiques around the world."

Okay, so I am pretty much head over heels for these bags. Leeza also makes cute wallets, in all sorts of colored vinyl. Her cherry red glitter vinyl reminds me of Dorothy's ruby slippers. And the white and black vinyl together remind me of something Nancy Sinatra would wear to go along with her go-go boots. These bags are retro and modern, which makes them the perfect accessory! Leeza is such a sweetheart too, so you'll feel good supporting a talented designer like her :)

I've spent more and more time on Etsy.com lately. I absolutely adore all of the handmade goodies. I am looking for a few stores to consign with. If anyone knows of any fun and funky online boutiques that accept consignment, please let me know. Pretty please with a cherry on top.

I plan on having some goodies here on sale by the end of January. Everything that I offer for sale here will be one of a kind. Clothing, bags, possibly some jewelry and other types of goodies. All silkscreened, sewn, and glazed by hand. I will update the blog as soon as I get the online shop open and ready. Have a wonderful wonderful weekend!

XOXO,
Amber

The first entry of 2008! Where have I been? I've been lagging on updates. I think I get wrapped up in so many projects, that some of them get neglected along the way. My new mantra: Talk Less, Take Action! I'm in the middle of writing 2 books (yes, two, I know...God!) - one which will be a full length novel, and one that is a collective or short stories. Both of which I hope to have published this year. Nay, I will have them published. Self publishing has become more and more popular in recent years, there really are so many great independent publishers out there, and I definitely plan on working with them. As always, I don't think an idea, a business, a revolution, (a person!) has to be big to make a difference. It's the beauty of creation, to prosper in one's artistic self and to collaborate with other souls that radiate their own artistic light. How cool it is, the world we live in, where new things are created each and every day.

Are you working on a new project? An idea you'd like to promote? Send me over an email and I'll post it on the blog.

Thanks for your patience, and for sticking with me as I get this blog/domain/website up off the ground and into the air. It's nice up there!
